rarely am i to be found employing the word 'gay' in a pejorative fashion but i simply would be remiss if i didn't refer to the video for kylie minogue's new single "love at first sight" as the GAYEST ATTEMPT AT A VIDEO EVER. this video breaks new ground for blind asslicking video directors everywhere. and although i realize that including this term a second time insures that my diary will become a google target, i havae to reconfirm that this video does, in fact, lick total ass. while the tune behind 'first sight' is a typical boring, timeless dance number, the corresponding video appears to have been conceived sometime around 1990 by a colorblind clubkid trying to figure out how to replicate key visual images from Tron in MSPaint on his uncle's commodore. johan renck definitely had his work cut out for him, though, in following the conceptual stunner dawn shadforth created for 'can't get you out of my head.' a sexier video this diarylander has never seen. i mean, whoa. who ok'd that? every time i see that video i get all nervous, like my mom is going to walk into my bedroom without knocking and catch me.
in other news, it's friday night and i'm all moved into my new apartment with justquit, mmmmsteve and a couple of other dudes. i unpacked the other day and found my dickie collection. i just got this engineer cap and i'm so wearing it with a dickie all weekend. just watch me.
